“Still Life” (WIP)

There is still life in the dark.

A beautiful tree clings to a cliffside, despite the danger and destruction surrounding it, still preserving life and love with it’s eternal hope. Created in memory of my uncle John, this still-working piece has been one of my biggest deep dives into both Houdini, and personal storytelling. Additionally, I got to dive into learning USD!

Responsible for: All aspects aside from concept inspiration.

Based on 2 combined concepts by Daniel Conway.

Software: Houdini, RenderMan, Karma, Nuke, and DaVinci Resolve.
